DESCRIPTION:Youth Mental Health First Aid is a program designed to equip ad
 ults with the knowledge and skills needed to provide support to youth expe
 riencing mental health challenges. This training spans a duration of 8 hou
 rs  through in-person sessions. In these sessions\, participants will rece
 ive comprehensive training to learn how to identify early signs of mental 
 health issues\, offer immediate assistance\, and guide young individuals t
 oward appropriate professional help. The training provides participants wi
 th the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan: ALGEE. This plan provides guid
 ance on how to interact with & help a child or adolescent who may be strug
 gling with a mental health challenge or crisis. This program fosters under
 standing\, reduces stigma\, and promotes early intervention. Youth Mental 
 Health First Aid Training creates a supportive community environment where
  participants are educated and able to effectively assist youth and become
  advocates for youth mental health\, making a positive and lasting impact 
 on the well-being of our youth. \n\nMaximum of 30 people can participate i
