About this Event
Youth Mental Health First Aid is a program designed to equip adults with the knowledge and skills needed to provide support to youth experiencing mental health challenges. This training is a blended virtual course with access to training online and also a free virtual session with trained Youth Mental Health First Aiders. In these sessions, participants will receive comprehensive training to learn how to identify early signs of mental health issues, offer immediate assistance, and guide young individuals toward appropriate professional help. The training provides participants with the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan: ALGEE. This plan provides guidance on how to interact with & help a child or adolescent who may be struggling with a mental health challenge or crisis. This program fosters understanding, reduces stigma, and promotes early intervention. Youth Mental Health First Aid Training creates a supportive community environment where participants are educated and able to effectively assist youth and become advocates for youth mental health, making a positive and lasting impact on the well-being of our youth.
You will receive a certificate at the end of your training. A great addition to your resume!
