The Campus Pride Field Day Subcommittee has partnered with NIU Recreation to bring you a fun and engaging way to be active while working on campus or at home. Join the Rec Center’s Fitness GA, Karolina, as she leads us in a virtual, light, mostly-chair workout on Dec. 17 at noon. Burn some calories right at your desk in a fun and engaging learning environment that is open to all levels of fitness.
The benefits of exercise are plentiful, helping with disease reduction, ease of daily living, lower chance of injury from accidents, stress relief, better sleep and feeling more confident. Karolina has planned a comprehensive 25-minute workout including a warm-up and cool down period. She will also be available for a brief Q & A after if you would like to pick her brain. Ask her questions about how much someone should exercise per week or how to efficiently sequence a weekly routine for example.
This workshop is free, but registration is required.
