Video Game Design with GameMaker STEAM Camp
Why spend your summer playing video games, when you could learn how to make your own? Use the game development engine GameMaker, make an 8-bit inspired classic space or top-down game, and develop game narratives. Learn GameMaker’s drag and drop code, explore popular video games and design your own game, including characters, game goals and rules. You’ll develop your ability to effectively utilize computer design software while building teamwork and complex problem-solving skills.
Recommended for students entering grades 9-12.
