The Center for Latino and Latin American Studies at Northern Illinois University invites you to its annual conference “Treinta y tres,” on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022. This year’s theme is “Movements and Migrations within and across Latin/x America.” We examine movements and migrations (of people, capital and/or ideas) in historical and contemporary settings. Explore the many, and oftentimes overlapping, factors that lead to movements and migrations including economic crises, violence, political conflict, environmental changes and humanitarian issues, among many other possibilities.
