Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil

Join the GSRC and CSWGS as we hold space in remembrance for Trans Lives in memorial of Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence in the past year. Each year, NIU remembers those lost, honors resilience in our Trans community, and holds space for those impacted.

We will share words about the impact of this day and offer participants the opportunity to share words of solidarity and support.  Apple cider, hot cocoa, and cookies will be served.  Content Warning: names of those lost, including mention of death on scrolling visual slides will be present.
