National Transfer Student Week (Oct. 20-24) is a time to recognize and celebrate NIU’s transfer students and all their contributions to our community. We invite all transfer student to gather for community and recognition.

Transferring to a new university can be a daunting transition, but you’re not alone. If you’re a transfer student, please join us for the semi-annual, transfer student social.

Drop by Peters Campus Life Building, Room 100, anytime between 1:30-3:30 p.m. There will be board games to play and free cookies, juice and tea. 

We will also provide tours so you can check out our commuter student lounge also located in Peters Campus Life Building — one of NIU’s best kept secrets for when you need a cup of coffee, access to a fridge and microwave, or just a cozy, quiet space to study.

This is a great opportunity to chat with caring staff members who can help you find tutoring, counseling or a mentor. If you need guidance or support along your NIU journey, we’ve got your back.
