Northern Illinois University’s School of Allied Health and Communicative Disorders is offering a free course, Critically Appraised Topics in Autism and Social Communication Disorders. This 2-1/2-hour course uses case studies to demonstrate how family values, clinical expertise and research evidence are intertwined. Register today.

As a result of participating in this course, you’ll be able to:

• Assess how research was conducted and measured for quality.
• Integrate research with family values and clinical caregivers’ expertise to make informed care decisions.
• Describe current research trends in a variety of topics related to social communication disorders.

This course is presented by NIU speech-language pathology graduate students under the supervision of Allison Gladfelter, Ph.D., agladfelter@niu.edu, a speech-language pathology professor.
