The Giving Project: Crafting for a Cause

Feeling crafty? Join the Giving Project in the Founders Memorial Library, Room 338 on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. We knit and crochet items that get donated to the Huskie Food Pantry. What kinds of items? Washcloths, hats, scarfs, mittens, blankets. Don’t know how to crochet? We can teach you. We have yarn and crochet hooks for you to use. Can’t make it every Thursday? That’s okay. Stop in when you can.

The Giving Project is an easy way to meet new people, have fun and perform an act of kindness all at once. All students, faculty and staff are welcome. Contact Aline at for more information.

I had a great time. I met some very nice ladies and learned why we are knitting certain items for the food pantry. I think that this is a very fun and interesting club that I have joined. I am definitely going to keep going as long as my schedule will allow it. I would like to thank the ladies who taught me because they were so patient and kind.
