Dear is the inaugural project director of the Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Program at Oakton College. Before Oakton, Dear spent ten years in multicultural student affairs supporting Asian American, Pacific Islander, and historically minoritized students. In this talk, Dear will discuss her journey to student advocate and the importance of coalition building.
