Sycamore - DeKalb Green Drinks

Green Drinks is a networking opportunity for individuals who work, volunteer or have interests in environmentally-focused fields. Organized by the Sycamore Park District. Meetups bring together those of us in the Sycamore/DeKalb area that have a common goal of making it a greener place. They are open to the public and the only cost is the beverages and/or food you choose to purchase. Participants work together to create a casual, nonthreatening environment for all to drink and converse responsibly. Meetups will be held the 2nd Wednesday of even months.

This month (December), we will be meeting on a Thursday with Cody Considine, Restoration Ecologist for the Nature Conservancy at Nachusa Grasslands.

Learn about this incredible site and how the work of staff and volunteers brought bison back to Illinois!

Nachusa is a 3,600-acre preserve with large remnant prairie, woodlands, and wetlands about 40 miles west of Sycamore/DeKalb in Franklin Grove. It is one of the largest and most biologically diverse grasslands in Illinois.
