STEM Divas Day Camp - Campers entering grades 2-5 - June 25-28, 2018
Join STEM Divas for a very special, four day summer camp. STEM Divas is an initiative geared towards creating a community of confident female leaders and learners age seven and up who embrace femininity while using hands-on activities to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). We’ve lined up a great group of female role models to help facilitate the fun and learning.
Divas (Campers Entering Grades 2-5) will create several projects during the week using the new skills they learn at camp. Using tools and gaining skills is empowering and that’s what this week is all about. Divas will develop skills in planning, designing and evaluating their creations, but will also learn to solder, use hand tools, and advance their technology skills. Projects vary by age, but each Diva will bring home an electronics project, a woodworking project, and a technology related creation. Campers will also explore the biology just outside our door on our campus.
Campers should bring a bag lunch Monday through Wednesday and healthy snacks for a short morning and afternoon break each day. On Thursday, we will provide a pizza party lunch.
