STEM Café: Brews and Bison
With Holly Jones, NIU Associate Professor of Biological Sciences
Associate Professor Holly Jones is a restoration ecologist and conservation biologist who studies how to reverse the biodiversity crisis through evidence-based restoration and conservation. She has been studying prairie restoration for nearly six years in one of Illinois' most beautiful and world-renowned prairie restorations - Nachusa Grasslands. Join her at the next STEM Café as she talks about the role of bison and fire in restoring and managing prairie ecosystems in Illinois. She will share her research team’s findings about how bison reintroduction has impacted prairie plants, animals and ecosystems.
