NIU STEAM Studio offers online afterschool workshops for students in grades 3-12. This class is recommended for students in grades 6-8.

In Make Your Art Move: Mobiles, you’ll use different construction techniques to build a hanging sculpture that moves when the wind passes through it. We’ll observe how balance is maintained even when the sculpture is moving.  You’ll have the opportunity to get personal feedback from instructors and other participants, and we’ll create a video gallery of everyone’s work.  

This is a 2-week workshop that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
