Spring 2019 Teaching Effectiveness Institute - Creating Community: Social Engagement in Online Learning

Creating an online community and building social engagement strengthens connections between you and your students. in addition, Vygotsky's Social Development Theory suggests that social interaction is an essential aspect of learning. So, how can we bring this important element to our online courses? In this online session we will explore many interactive and easy to use tools to help you do just that. We will conclude this half-day event by showcasing some emerging technologies that have exciting implications for the future of teaching and learning.

This institute will take place completely online! You can participate from the comfort and convenience of your own home, office, or other location.
