A week of campuswide wellness, mental health and self-care programs. Join our events to take time for you and better support your well-being! Win free prizes, engage with national speakers, tackle procrastination, attend a wellness workshop, learn more about mental health and more. Put your well-being first and attend Spring Into Wellness.
Monday, April 14
Period Project Empowerment Party
- Time: 4 to 5 p.m.
- Location: HSC, Room 250.
- Do you like free stuff and self-care? The GSRC and Student Wellness invite you to the Student Wellness space in HSC 250 to receive free period products from the NIU Period Project! In addition, free arts and crafts activities focused on self-care will be provided. All are welcome and can receive the free products and craft activities.
Crafting Connections
- Time: 6 to 7 p.m.
- Location: HSC, Room 250.
- Join us for an arts and crafts workshop focused on all things self-care, mental health and managing stress. Make new friends and practice self-care at the same time.
Tuesday, April 15
Procrastination Café
- Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
- Location: Holmes Student Center, University Suite.
- A chill space for you to get your work done. You get free snacks and drinks, as well as a prize if you finish your tasks.
Wednesday, April 16
- Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Location: HSC Ballroom.

- Therapy dogs.
- Sensory playground: Join NIU STEAM in learning about mindfulness through play and exploration. Test out the floor piano, craft with playdough, be amazed by the giant plasma globe, create and build with paper and blocks, interact with sensory bins and more. Discover how mindfulness can help you better manage stress.

Pop-up Procrastination Café
- Time: 5 to 8 p.m.
- Location: Neptune Hall NE/SE Room
- Exclusive Pop-up Experience: Procrastination Café is coming to a residence hall near you! On limited Wednesdays in April, from 5 to 8 p.m., we're bringing the Procrastination Café experience to NIU’s residence halls. Join us to better tackle your procrastination, manage stress and get work done. Win prizes for completing your tasks and enjoy our selection of café items.

A.S.K. Like a Huskie: Mental Health Support Training
- Time: 6 to 7 p.m.
- Location: HSC, Room 250.
- A.S.K. Like a Huskie is a free, one-hour, mental health support training for all. We recognize that talking about mental health can be tough. Know that we are here to help provide you with the skills and knowledge to confidently and effectively support a friend, loved one or colleague with their mental health concerns. In this one-hour workshop, you will learn about three simple steps to talking about mental health. Those steps are: acknowledge, support, keep in touch. Our workshop is interactive with multiple activities to practice these skills and receive feedback. We will also provide you with resources and helpful tips for enhancing your support.
