Social Justice Workshop & Townhall Virtual Series

Knowledge is Power - First part of the 4-part virtual series. This workshop & townhall will entail examining the history of protest and racism in America, along with explaining and understanding the importance of an asset-based approach. 
 

Know Your Rights - Second part of the 4-part virtual series. This workshop & townhall will explore laws that affect prrdominantly vulnerable populations, understand legal terminology, and bystander training intervention practices.

 

Organizing with a Purpose - Third part of the 4-part virtual series. This workshop & townhall will allow participants to identify organizations working towards social justice, learn how to identify allies & assets, mobilize people and sustain a cause. 

 

How to Be An Ally/Accomplice - Final part of the 4-part virtual series. This workshop & townhall will inform participants on various ways they can get involved and undertsand the importance of your call to action and key terminology. 
 

NIU experts and guest speakers will join the conversation! Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and have an open dialogue on the topics discussed.
