Send Silence Packing

Visit the exhibit to learn more about mental health resources and support in our community for yourself or someone you love. You can connect with mental health services, learn how to help someone in a mental health crisis, find community support, and learn how to get involved in Active Minds.  

Send Silence Packing® is a traveling public education display of more than 1,000 backpacks. The exhibit includes personal stories from individuals who have lost a loved on to suicide and is designed to raise awareness about the impact of suicide, connect individuals to mental health resources, and inspire action for suicide prevention. Passerby are invited to walk among the backpacks to see the photographs and read stories attached to them. Many of the backpacks were donated by families who lost a loved one to suicide.
