Returning student move-in days are Saturday, Aug. 20 and Sunday, Aug. 21.

Returning students are required to register for a move-in appointment to be allowed entry to their residence hall or Northern View apartment. Appointments will occur in half-hour blocks throughout each day. Please reference your NIU email for full appointment sign-up details and instructions.

Volunteering at Move In Day

Employees, alumni and returning students are invited to show their Huskie Pride by signing up to volunteer for Move-In Days and WOW! This is an all-hands-on-deck effort to welcome students to campus. Volunteer time slots are available throughout the week and will provide the opportunity to help welcome all new and returning students to campus. You can select which event(s) and time slot(s) you would like to volunteer for using the Combined Volunteer Sign-Up 2022: Residence Hall Move-In and Week of Welcome (WOW) Sign-Up Form. Supervisors are encouraged to offer flexible scheduling to allow staff members to volunteer during this time.
