Child Robot Interaction as a Testbed for Teaching: Multimodal Equitable Collaboration
Research on child robot interaction shows that children's engagement in the task is multimodal and multisensory. Their thinking, emotions, and bodily behaviors are coordinated to successfully achieve the task goal. This implies that the design of curricular activities for children should support the natural tendency of children towards active multimodal engagement. These interactions can also promote equity in the classroom.
