Goals of the Racial Healing: Through the Lenses of Truth Campus Conference

Goal 1: Develop a clear understanding of how Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation work is happening at NIU. 
Objective: Explore the different ways NIU can build a more inclusive and just campus​

Goal 2: Understand the basics of race, racism, anti-racism and racial trauma. ​
Objective: Explore our cultural narratives around race.​ Understand how knowledge is created and valued in our society.

​Goal 3: Understand the importance of truth in the healing process and how to engage in healing practices in daily life.​
Objectives:
a. Participate in a space for healing on a small scale.
​b. Identify different outlets for racial healing.​
