About this Event
The NIU College of Law's Race and the Law Conversations Series will host its next conversation. This presentation explores the role of race in Fourth Amendment policing doctrine, with a focus on how the legal profession has historically erased race, and a discussion about what we can do differently to begin to ensure that Fourth Amendment doctrine grapples with racial complexities of policing in America. The presentation also touches on how to think about race in Fourth Amendment law in light of the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard.
