Public Art: What Is It and How to Plan for It (NEW)
Tuesday, May 23, 2023 9 AM to 11 AM
About this Event
Public art is a highly visible and deliberate way a community can make an impression on visitors or change the environment for residents. However, beyond this basic statement, there can be little that is clear about it. What is public art? Why does it matter? Where should it go, and how is it paid for? Should we have a public art plan? If your community is talking about public art, this session will help you direct the conversation in a positive way and move toward achieving your goals. Public art plans from a variety of communities will be presented and examples of projects ranging from simple to complex will be examined.
THE NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED.
