Story/Narrative: Emperor

EMPEROR is a 40-minute interactive and narrative experience that puts you inside the brain of a man suffering from aphasia. You not only share the experience of a father who has lost his ability to speak, but also hear the story of his daughter, who is trying to communicate with him. You join her quest to unravel the past that he can no longer talk about and discover how his relationship to words is connected to his memories. Step by step, clue after clue, you will dive alongside her into the inner world of this man transported to the mysterious territory of Aphasia, shown as a black & white, surrealist landscape. With one-of-a-kind art direction, EMPEROR is an intimate, touching story that will leave a lasting mark on your minds.

*This experience begins in a seated position, but plan now for a large enough space around you as you’ll be asked to stand up during the experience. Hand Tracking will be used.

Pandemic: Nano

Nano is a thrilling cellular adventure with real science in its DNA. A strange virus is sweeping across the globe. As a trainee in a top-secret bioresearch program, you use your headset and haptic gloves to remotely control a nano drone -- a tiny machine that gets injected into the human body. With the drone, you operate a synthetic immune cell, jacking into infected patients around the world to fight their infections on the microscopic level, and ultimately track down and face the mystery virus itself. You'll need to master the cell's living systems: you generate energy from food molecules, use the cell's DNA to manufacture a variety of proteins to keep the cell alive, and to combat invaders. This is not a science textbook -- it's a game to its core, but one that's based on real science. You've never experienced biology, or gaming, like this.

Interactive Lab Simulation: OneLab (CDC)

Situated on the 4th floor of a fictitious building, OneLab VR encompasses a 50,000 square foot facility that is focused on clinical and public health laboratory training. OneLab VR includes 12 different laboratories, over 100 (and counting) laboratory-specific pieces of equipment, and a variety of accessibility, user customization, and multiplayer tools.

Working extensively with laboratory architects, designers, safety experts, and members of the laboratory community, we created this virtual training space for your training needs. Everything from the physical size and placement of laboratory environments to simple things like placement of fire alarms and sprinkler systems has been rigorously researched, tested, and reviewed for users like you.

Currently, OneLab VR offers the following 10-15 minute scenarios:

• Tutorial scenario: Learners new to VR will experience the basics of navigating through the laboratory environment
• Packing and shipping dangerous goods scenario: Learners will focus on properly packaging a specimen for shipment via air
• Microfuge and Multifuge centrifuge scenarios: These scenarios focus on loading and operating a microfuge and high-speed bucket centrifuge.
