Join the Pick Museum of Anthropology for Pros at the Pick with Manuel Ferreira (Logan Museum of Anthropology, Beloit College). If you are interested in museum careers or ever wondered what it is like to work in cultural institutions, Pros at the Pick is a space to make connections and gain insight about what really goes on in museums.

Manuel Ferreira identifies as a queer Mexican-American anthropologist and curator. He is the Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Logan Museum of Anthropology and an instructor in Beloit College's Museum Studies Program. Manuel earned his MA in anthropology at the University of Denver, and his research focuses on the relationships between the beliefs of museum professionals and the exhibitions they create. Through his work, Manuel seeks to understand, disrupt, and confront the legacies museums and other institutions perpetuate and challenge.
