This virtual lecture series is sponsored by the Zeta Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars and is open to everyone.  It is for rising NIU scholars with international focused research (including immigrant communities) to have an opportunity to present their research in an interdisciplinary virtual atmosphere for the NIU community.  Graduate student, Alex Lundberg, will present, "Buying Freedom: The Gradual Abolition of Slavery and the Construction of Inequality in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil."
