We're offering on-site, hourly rentals at the East Lagoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays this spring. It's an easy process. Sign up for a rental time starting on the hour and select a canoe, kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Weather permitting, this program is offered until April 29. 

Arrive at the East Lagoon during your selected time slot and enjoy your paddle. We'll have all the boats, paddles and PFDs at the lagoon waiting for you. The rental cost is $5 an hour for NIU students and $10 an hour for nonstudents. 

Be sure to arrive 10-minutes before your reservation. If you arrive more than five minutes after the hour, your spot may be given to a walk-up.

Please bring a mask to wear while participating in this event (to be worn before getting in your boat). 

Date and time(s): Tuesday and Thursdays April 6 to 29, 4 to 7 p.m.

Boat Rentals: NIU students: $5; nonstudents: $10. 

Hourly Sport Rentals: $2/NIU students; $3/nonstudents.
Bags, ladder golf, spike ball, giant Jenga, hammock, football or soccer ball.

Online advance registration is open for the boat rentals only. Choose your rental time slot and type of boat.

Walk-up cash payment for sport equipment and boats will be accepted as equipment is available.
