Outdoor Adventures: Weekly Crate Climbing

Offered through April due to popular demand.

Experience what crate climbing is all about. This challenging activity involves stacking and scaling crates as high as you can. It is harder than it looks, but you will catch on quickly. You are suited in a harness and belayed by an experienced Outdoor Adventure leader. How high can you climb without the crate tower toppling over? All ages welcome. Those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian over the age of 18.

Compete in our crate challenge.

Prizes are awarded to all participants who attend every week’s session. Also, prizes will be awarded to the top three highest total number of total crates climbed during the month. Complete your challenge card each week you attend.

This is a free event, no registration required.

If you are a community member (not a student or Rec member), you will meet with an OA staff member at the Rec main desk. Let us know you are coming.

Dates and times: 8 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays starting Feb. 8 until April 26 on Court 6 inside of the Rec.
