Outdoor Adventures: Kayak the Chicago River / Chicago, IL  

Paddling on the scenic Chicago River is a whole new way to experience the amazing architecture of downtown Chi-Town! The paddle is over 8 miles roundtrip from Goose Island REI to Lakeshore East Park. This is a popular trip, sign up early to reserve your spot. Included in the registration fee is instruction and kayak rental. Participants are to meet at the launch site; details will be provided after registration.  

Single and double kayaks are available, please reach out if you would like to reserve a double kayak. 

*Transportation may be provided to NIU Students only on a first-come, first-serve basis. Email if you need transportation.  

**OA Trip Leaders reserve the right to adjust participant boat configurations in order to mitigate risks and match more experienced kayakers with novices. We will communicate these changes with participants at the boat launch on the day of the event**
