2/8/23 Update: The rink is currently close to the warmer weather, we are expecting rain and will check the rink Friday to make the call about the 2/10 event but it will likely not be skateable.

1/26/23 Update: We are making the call that the ice will not be ready for skating quite yet and cancelled ice skate night on 1/27.  Our goal is to open on 2/1 for Winter Wonderland!

1/24/23 Update: We are starting to make ice! It is slightly possible it could be ready for this week, but likely  will not be ready to skate on.

1/17/23 Update: The first week 1/20 is cancelled due to warm conditions.

1/9/23 Update: Currently it looks like unlikley conditions for ice for our first week, but will update if anything changes. 

Have you ever wanted to learn how to ice skate, but have been nervous to try? Now is your chance to give it a shot. Our Friday Ice Skate Nights are a fun way for you to get out with friends or meet new friends on the ice. Each week is another opportunity to gain experience and find stability to help with the instability and challenges of everyday life. Come on out and listen to some tunes while you glide around on the ice. Ice skate rental is included in the registration. Meet at the Adventure Center 5 minutes before your scheduled skate time to pick up and try on your skates. 

Want a lesson? Our Leaders would love to help you get started. Lessons cover the basics with each leader teaching no more than two participants at a time. Just add-on a lesson to your order for the night you plan to come: NIU Student: $5, Non-Student: $10

All ages welcome! Those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian over the age of 18. Registration required, walk-ups are accepted as equipment and space is available. 

Dates and Times: Fridays, Jan. 20- Feb. 24, choose 5-6 p.m. or 6-7 p.m. 

Registration cost/deadline: NIU Student: $8, Non-Student: $10 until 15 minutes after the event starts
