Spend the day hiking through Starved Rock, one of Illinois' best-known state parks. Explore canyons, waterfalls, miles of scenic trails along the Illinois River and learn about the rich history of this part of our state. We'll also visit the lesser-known, less-crowded and just-as-scenic Matthiessen State Park.

Included in the registration fee is transportation, leadership and lunch. All ages welcome. Those under 16 require a parent/guardian over the age of 18 to attend.

Registration cost and deadline: NIU student: $30; nonstudent: $45 by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19.
