Outdoor Adventures: Hike and Camp at Indiana Dunes National Park

About this Event
Head over to one of our closest national parks, Indiana Dunes, known as one of the most biodiverse natural lands in the world. This 61st national park is less than two hours away from DeKalb. The park is comprised of over 15,000 acres of dunes, oak savannas, swamps, bogs, marshes, prairies, rivers and forests. It contains 15 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline spanning the distance from Gary to Michigan City.
Spend the weekend exploring the dunes and relaxing at camp enjoying great company and meals. Registration includes transportation, leadership, equipment for camping (tent, sleeping pad and bag, headlamp etc.), camping fees and all meals.
Date and Time(s): Friday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m. to Sunday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m.
Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m.
Registration cost and deadline: NIU student $150, non-student $200 by Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 11:59 p.m.
