Outdoor Adventures Backpack the Ice Age Trail — Wisconsin
Need an escape from your daily routine? This weekend trip is for you! Join us for backpacking and exploring the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin.
The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a 1,000-mile footpath, and one of 11 National Scenic Trails. The trail begins on the west side of the state at Interstate State Park in St. Croix Falls and ends on the eastern side in Potowatomi State Park in Door County.
Our trip will begin on the western side starting at Interstate State Park and hike over 20 miles. We hope to hike the entire path over time.
Beginners are welcome and our pre-trip meeting and leaders will help you along the way.
Registration includes transportation, leadership, equipment for backpacking and camping (tent, sleeping pad and bag, headlamp, backpack, etc.) park and camping fees, and all meals.
Date and Time(s): Friday, Sept. 2 at 4 p.m. and Monday, Sept. 5 at 5 p.m.
Mandatory Pre-trip Meeting: Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 6 p.m.
Registration cost and deadline: NIU Student $150, Nonstudent $200 by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30.
