Online STEAM Camp: Backyard Naturalist

Discover how nature inspired some of the greatest writers and artists. Uncover the diversity of life in your backyard or nearby park. Nature studies focuses on how to observe and record nature in a journal. Take the first steps in creating your own nature journal and let your curiosity guide your thinking as you develop questions to use for scientific investigations on anything from animal behavior to ecology.

This camp will meet online from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. daily. Campers will spend another 1 to 3 hours each day constructing and testing their projects, some of which may also be online. This camp is recommended for students in grades 5-9 but may be accessible to older students or younger students with additional support.
