This third workshop in the series on learning outcomes assessment introduces participants to the variety of assessment method types and characteristics, focusing on their use for informed decision-making about student learning improvement. Participants will learn to do the following: 

• Explain what makes an assessment method appropriate and actionable for a given student learning outcome 
• Critique and improve rubrics to facilitate student demonstration of learning  
• Critique and improve assignment prompts to provide specific information about student strengths and opportunities for improvement 
• Discuss the advantages of incorporating a variety of assessment types into an assessment plan
