What is the Campus Challenge?
Get outside and join us from September 16 - October 13 as we compete against universities across the country to win free outdoor gear and aim to be named National Outdoor Champion.  

For these four weeks, Northern Illinois University is one of 98 schools participating in this Mother-Nature-meets-March-Madness competition to see which campus can get the most people outside. National titles (and bragging rights) are on the line. 

• The Challenge is simple; the university with the most activities logged through the Campus Challenge app wins.

• Download the app and help us spread the word across campus. 

How It Works
Earn points for logging activities and photos of you engaging in the outdoors with the outdoor element being the focus. Activites should last longer than 30 minutes each and the photo must show you/your group participating in the activity. Traditional team sports do not count.  The app lists all the activities that count including walking, hammocking, or gardening--to name a few.  Win prizes of outdoor products from Osprey, Columbia, Cotopaxi, and Big Agnes.
