NIU Communiversity Gardens: Weeding Wednesdays
We welcome students, faculty/staff and community members to volunteer to help out and work in the gardens.
Volunteering and participating in service projects are a great way to supplement the academic experience of college or to learn new skills for an abundant life.
Visit and volunteer in our community vegetable garden to learn about our apprentice program and help us maintain the gardens with tasks such as weeding, watering and harvesting. Please refer to the volunteer guide for more information to prepare for your visit.
Join us to volunteer this fall on Wednesdays through Oct. 27 any time between 3 and 5 p.m. to help with weeding and preparing the gardens for winter rest.
Registration is required.
To thank you for volunteering, we have vegetables available for harvest (as available). We hope to see you in the gardens!
