New Online Book Study - Making the Implicit Explicit: Creating Performance Expectations for the Dissertation
Thursday, October 17, 2024 12 PM
About this Event
Noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.
Dissertations, theses and other culminating projects can be excellent, authentic sources of information about student learning outcomes. In order to provide actionable data for analysis, we must collect information about student performance on each individual learning outcome. This book provides guidance for doing so along with discipline-specific examples. Intended learning outcomes include the following: (a) set learning outcomes for the dissertation/thesis/culminating project; (b) convert learning outcomes into a rubric; (c) create a plan to implement the rubric to collect and analyze data using the rubric. Advance registration required. Register today.
