Faculty - are you looking for time to sit down and write? Protect time in your schedule by coming to our weekly writing group. Have some coffee and breakfast granola to get powered up (8:30-9 am), set a SMART goal (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant/realistic, and time-bound) for the morning session, and then settle in to quiet writing time (9-11 am). 

There are multiple reasons to write in community, including accountability, motivation, change of scenery, and connection. This writing group is open to ALL faculty at NIU, not just members of NICCS. 

Breakfast and morning writing take place in 71 Innovation Partnership Studio and are sponsored by the Northern Illinois Center for Community Sustainability (NICCS), as part of NICCS Tuesdays.
