Welcome to Our Mindfulness and Relaxation Virtual Reality Experiment!
Are you a student who feels overwhelmed with schoolwork, social life, home life, or even an upcoming test? If this is you, you’re in luck. Our Mindfulness Virtual Reality experience has your back!
Stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or just wanting to work on your overall mental health, our user-friendly experience is a way to calm yourself and find your inner peace. The app we will be utilizing is called ‘TRIPP’. This app has a variety of different exercises that focus on prioritizing your mind and your body through mindfulness and relaxation. What’s better than allowing yourself to go to a place of serenity all while remaining on your college campus?
Who would have thought that this could be turned into an experiment as well? Two of the interns at the Office of Innovation have decided to do an experiment involving this experience which measures the effectiveness of virtual reality on the mental status of college students. Once you arrive for the experience, a pretest will be given to you that asks a series of questions about your current mental status. Once the experience is concluded, a posttest will be given to measure your new mental status. All their findings from this experience will be presented at the Conference of Undergraduate Research and Engagement.
Not only will you help our interns out by signing up for this experience, but you will also have the opportunity to become more mindful and relaxed every session that you attend. It’s a win win!
