LLI: Spanish with Convener Jan Modloff

Spanish is the official language of 21 countries.

In the US, 41 million people speak Spanish as a first language.

1. Do you want to learn Spanish phrases for traveling?

2. Do you want to review the Spanish you learned in high school or university?

3. Do you want to boost your memory and creativity?

4. Do you want to keep your mind sharp?

All of the above benefits can be achieved in this class. Yes, even the last two. It has been scientifically proven that learning a second language enhances other parts of our brains.

Join us to learn Spanish for the first time or to review what you once learned. All levels of Spanish fluency will be accommodated.

Convener: Jan Modloff taught high school Spanish for 34 years and has been an active LLI member for 18 years.

The Northern Illinois University Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI), established in 2000, is a member-directed group of individuals primarily age 50 plus who enjoy learning in informal, flexible, non-competitive groups and like connecting with peers who share their interests.
