LLI: Book Discussion: Educated by Tara Westover with Convener Kathie Robinson

About this Event
We will discuss Tara Westover's 2019 New York Times bestselling memoir, Educated. It is a riveting book that details her childhood in rural Idaho and unusual educational journey to Cambridge University. The book will be divided into four parts and read outside of class. Together we will follow Tara's life story and converse about her struggles and accomplishments.
Please note meetings on alternate weeks.
Second week of term: Discuss chapters 1-8.
Fourth week of term: Discuss chapters 9-16.
Sixth week of term: Discuss chapters 17-29.
Eighth week of term: Discuss chapters 30-40.
Convener: Kathie Robinson recently retired from McHenry School District #15 as principal of Riverwood Elementary School. She was a school administrator for 19 years and teacher for 15 years. Kathie received her teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a master's from National-Louis University. She is a new member of LLI and shares a love of learning.
