LinkedIn: Beyond the Profile

LinkedIn – Beyond the Profile is a hands-on workshop designed to teach current LinkedIn users ways to utilize the social media site to assist in their career development. Participants will learn to be proactive in their use of LinkedIn to both find career opportunities and grow their network. Topics covered include but are not limited to locating and contacting professionals in your field, conducting company research, and creating a strong professional brand. 

• Bring a lap top to use during the presentation. Lap tops may be checked out from University Libraries if needed:  https://library.niu.edu/ulib/technology.shtml;
• Have the opportunity to try-out new features, ask questions, and seek one-on-one assistance from the presenter!
• Space is limited to the first 15 participants, so get there early!
