About this Event
600 Lucinda Ave, DeKalb, IL 60115
The Division of International Affairs is hosting a free lunch for students, faculty and staff to celebrate International Women’s Day. Join us for conversation and to recognize the ways in which our NIU community embodies the richness of internationalism and makes contributions to gender equity. At the luncheon, Professor Emeritus Amy Levin will share her experience working with a group of women engineers in Tunisia toward gender-inclusive leadership. Attendees will be invited to share their own stories of forging change, building classrooms and workplaces where women thrive, improving gender equity, and contributing to international understanding and collaboration.
This event is free, but registration is required. Register by March 15.
Co-sponsored by the Presidential Commission on the Status of Women and the Center for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality.
