Illinois General Election (Illinois Holiday - No Classes)

If you are registered to vote in DeKalb County and are living on campus, you will vote at the Barsema Alumni and Visitor Center on campus.  The Holmes Student Center is not a polling location on Election Day.

If you are registered to vote in DeKalb County and are living off campus, you can find your polling place by viewing the precint and polling place map provided by the DeKalb County Clerk's office.

If you are registered to vote and are not living in DeKalb County, you can find your polling location by visiting vote.org.

Remember, if you completed your voter registration online, you will need to bring your state ID or driver's license with you to your voting location.

Same day voter registration is available at your polling place if you are voting in DeKalb County. If you choose to register to vote at your polling place on election day you will need to have two forms of ID, one of which includes your DeKalb County address.

Acceptable forms of ID are: 

  • Driver’s License
  • Medicare Card/Public Aid Card
  • State I.D.
  • Mortgage or Lease
  • Bank Statement
  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • Payroll Check
  • Car Registration
  • Piece of mail dated within the last 30 days
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • Pre-printed Check
  • Employee I.D.
  • School I.D. Card
  • Firearm Owner’s Card
  • Social Security Card
  • Library Card
  • Utility Bill, dated within the last 30 days
