About this Event
Huskie PAC Chats is a series of 4 webinars covering topics in Special Needs Parenting delivered by Northern Illinois University, College of Health and Human Sciences Faculty. These webinars are free of charge to families and students, and aim to empower parents in seeking out and providing opportunities for their children. Each session will include a 45 minute presentation, followed by 15 minute Q and A in which families may directly interact with professionals and other families.
Week 1's webinar: "Planning for Transitions to High School, College, and Employment" is presented by Bryan Dallas, PhD, CRC, LCPC . Moving from primary and middle school to secondary education and beyond can be challenging for families of students with special needs. This webinar will discuss ways parents can help their child navigate disability supports as they transition to high school and then on to college and the workforce.
