The National Day of Racial Healing is celebrated yearly, the Tuesday after MLK Day. 2024 marks the first time NIU will celebrate this day. The National Day of Racial Healing is a time to reflect on our shared values and create a path towards #HowWeHeal from the effects of racism and bring all people together in our common humanity.

Continue your #HowWeHeal Pledge and attend a follow up film screening and discussion on Tuesday, January 23, 2024  in the Carl Sandburg Auditorium in the Holmes Student Center. 

Come and watch Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequality followed by an interactive discussion with the Truth Racial Healing and Transformation Center facilitators, Dr. Joe Flynn and Yixin Yu.  Popcorn and beverages will be provided.
