The use of artificial intelligence has grown substantially as academics have integrated applications such as chatGPT, Dall-E, & Midjourney into their research and teaching. AI also is affecting the graduate school experience. Graduate students now have powerful tools at their disposal, but there are many questions regarding how best to use these programs. This presentation addresses these key questions, particularly pertaining to ethics, to help graduate students better navigate the benefits and drawbacks of emerging AI technologies.
The Professional Development Lunches help support your success in graduate school and advance your career goals. Each session will feature a presentation on a timely topic related to graduate student career and professional development. Roundtable discussions will provide networking opportunities with other graduate students. This event is FREE and open to any NIU graduate student. Registration is required.
