Representatives from Equal Justice Works will be hosting a virtual presentation. They will provide information about the many public interest opportunities available to students at member law schools (NIU is now a member!) during your law school career, as well as fellowship opportunities post-graduation. Additionally, you will hear about EJW’s Summer of Service Opportunities: Civil legal aid positions for 1Ls and 2Ls serving underrepresented communities. Stipends are generally $5,000 for 300 hours of service, and there are over 50 opportunities offered each summer nationwide. The deadline to apply is February 14th. You’ll learn about the program and will have an opportunity to ask about the application process.
