Engineering Careers STEAM Camp

Engineers develop everything from medical devices, such as artificial hearts, to buildings, bridges and self-driving cars. They work in nearly every industry, solving problems and using science for practical and commercial applications. In this camp, you’ll learn about a variety of careers directly from professionals working in engineering fields. You'll also develop your critical thinking and problem-solving skills with hands-on challenges and fun design competitions that will spark your inner engineer! NIU College of Engineering and Engineering Technology faculty will lead sessions daily, most in their own research labs. We’ll also meet with NIU Engineering students and tour additional engineering and tech labs.

Recommended for students entering grades 9-12.
